Become a CPA Community Representative - Apply to Join the Coalition's Steering Committee

Coalition Steering CommitteeThe Community Preservation Coalition's Steering Committee is now accepting applications for open “Community Representative” positions. These seats on the committee are reserved for representatives from communities that have adopted the Community Preservation Act and wish to provide input, expertise, and perspective on the Coalition’s statewide priorities and programming. If you want to help guide the future of the Coalition and the CPA program, we encourage you to apply!

Since enactment in 2000, more than half of Massachusetts communities have adopted CPA, representing 62% of the state's population across 189 municipalities. To-date, the program has raised over $2.65 billion in public funds for CPA projects, and over the last several years, more cities and large towns have adopted the program - this has resulted in increasing amounts CPA funding being spent in more communities and neighborhoods that have majority populations of color. The Community Preservation Act has benefited greatly from this growth, and now the Coalition's Steering Committee is seeking out new members to represent the diversity and broad appeal of the statewide program.

The Steering Committee has three (3) open seats for Community Representative members from municipalities that have adopted the Community Preservation Act. Candidates can be current or former members of local Community Preservation Committees, CPC administrators, local CPA advocates, or engaged municipal representatives. All are welcome to apply, though preference will be shown for those currently serving as voting members of a local Community Preservation Committee.

If you are interested in applying to join our Steering Committee, we encourage you to fill out our short application form at the following link:
