East Street Ciak Property, Easthampton

The city of Easthampton executed its right of first refusal to acquire this desirable property, using $150,000 of its Community Preservation funds and $200,000 in state funds to match the $350,000 that a local developer had offered for it. The portion of the property abutting Mount Tom State Reservation will be added to the park, and will be owned and managed by the state’s Department of Conservation and Recreation. Another portion of the property will be used to develop an affordable duplex for use by qualifying local residents.
